Non-Thermal Plasma: A Promising Technology for the Germination Enhancement of Radish (Raphanus sativus) and Carrot (Daucus carota sativus L.)

Cold plasma is an innovative and promising technology that developing in a variety of fields, recently it has been getting lot attention the agricultural industry. The influence cold atmospheric pressure (CAPP) exposure on germination parameters vigor radish (Raphanus sativus) carrot (Daucus carota sativus L.) seeds was investigated present study. A custom-designed driver utilizing 11.32 kV rms 50 Hz used for generation discharge. Seeds were treated using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) argon atmosphere at periods 1–4 minutes. estimate done optical emission spectroscopy electrical measurements. Germination-related measures such as final percentage, index, value, coefficient velocity germination, chlorophyll content all improved case CAPP-treated compared to control seeds. Similarly, CAPP treatment changed vitro radical scavenging capabilities, total phenolic, flavonoid levels seedlings. Our results indicated being by 3 minutes seemed have favorable impact seed sprouting development.
